Transnet Academy – Faculty of Rail (FoR) provides rail specific skills to support the TFR mandate and its operating model. Particularly, it provides Operations Command Centre (OCC), Operations and Rail Network Infrastructure training and support regional integration. FoR as part of its strategic initiatives supports amongst others Third-Party Access, Branch line Strategy, Africa strategy, Automotive expansion and production hubs.As part of training enhancement process, FoR has various practical training equipment for technical rail infrastructure training and several Simulators for Train Drivers, Train Control Officers and rubber-wheel (motor cars) to improve skills.
